Jared Goff and Jordan Love prepare for a high-stakes aerial showdown as the Detroit Lions' elite scoring attack faces the Green Bay Packers' explosive deep-threat receivers in a pivotal divisional battle.

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell knows that his 3-2 team has a massive test on its hands when the 4-2 Green Bay Packers come to town in Week 7.

The Lions have an explosive offense, and that's been the one consistent of the Campbell era in Detroit — which has been their most successful era since Barry Sanders played.

The Lions offense is putting up 393.8 yards per game, which is currently fourth-best in the NFL. Quarterback Jared Goff is playing like an MVP with 1,485 yards and 12 touchdowns, with zero interceptions thrown.

Campbell knows offense. He played tight end in the league from 1999 to 2009.

That makes his evaluation of the Packers' offense a more-than-educated one, and the sixth-year Lions head coach is certainly stressing out about what Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love brings to the table.

“Offensively, Love, man, he makes it go. He is the secret sauce,” Campbell said via Benjamin Raven of MLive. “And Watson and Golden, man, they’re dangerous threats down the field and he’s going to give them opportunities that show up every week.”

Love's connections with Christian Watson and Matthew Golden have propelled the Packers to their 4-2 record despite what was undoubtedly an awful start to the season thanks to an injured and underwhelming offensive line.

Love has thrown for 1,684 yards and 11 touchdowns with four interceptions so far this season. He's third in the NFL in passing yards.

Watson has looked every bit the part of WR1, which is why the Packers gave him a four-year, $110.5 million contract extension this past offseason. He's caught 29 passes for 538 yards (5th in the NFL) and six touchdowns (2nd in the NFL).

Golden, in his second year after being a first-round draft pick in 2025, has caught 30 passes for 501 yards (6th in the NFL) and three touchdowns.

Not only that, but both players dropped touchdown passes in Green Bay's Sunday Night Football win over the Dallas Cowboys. With that said, those numbers should be even more impressive.

That's not to say the Packers are a juggernaut on offense. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Their rushing attack is dead last in the league, averaging just 59.8 yards per game on the ground. As mentioned, the offensive line play has also been shaky.

It's much better than it was earlier this season thanks to some changes and additions, but Green Bay still has a ton of work to do to get things going on the ground. Perhaps the return of Josh Jacobs will be the spark the running game needs.

That's yet to be seen, but either way, LaFleur has seemed to figure out that his best way forward in 2026, and perhaps beyond, is to let the offense run through Love, Watson and Golden.

If tight end Tucker Kraft can get going again, that would be a massive benefit to the Packers. If Jacobs can bring back some semblance of a run game, this unit has the firepower to very well become the best in the league.

And that's without Zach Bako-Bewele and Jayden Reed, mind you.

In the context of those two losses plus the offensive line reshuffling, what LaFleur, Love and Green Bay's offense have been able to do in 2026 is nothing short of impressive.

Campbell and the Lions know it. Now they've got to try and stop it.
