Dr. Jesse Morse joined the Packers Roundtable Podcast to discuss all of the injuries that the Packers are dealing with heading into the 2026 season.

The Green Bay Packers are dealing with some pretty significant injuries to a couple of their key players heading into the 2026 season. Both Micah Parsons and Tucker Kraft are coming back from ACL injuries, along with a myriad of other injuries throughout the roster.

Since we are not doctors or medical experts, we had one join the channel today to discuss all things Packers injuries. Dr. Jesse Morse is a board-certified sports and family medicine doctor who is the founder of The Injury Expertz.

He has been practicing medicine since the early 2000s and has become the internet's doctor when it comes to major injuries. He is the perfect guy to discuss what's going on in the Packers building with their stars.

Micah Parsons will take his time to come back from his ACL

Packers' star Micah Parsons tore his ACL on December 14th last season, which put his 2026 season in jeopardy. With modern medicine, the typical timeline for an ACL tear is 6-9 months from surgery. So, as Parsons sits here today, he is expecting to play his first game of the 2026 season around Week 6 or Week 7, which puts him in early October.

The Packers have historically been very conservative when it comes to injuries. They approach injuries with caution, which is in favor of the player more often than not. This is an atypical approach in today's NFL.

They are going to approach Parsons' injury with this intention. Also, there is some common sense to be applied here. Parsons is far more valuable in November, December and January compared to September.

How is Tucker Kraft going to be ready for Week 1?

So, if Parsons is going to wait until later in the season to play, how is Kraft going to be ready for Week 1? The simple answer here is that Kraft's injury happened nearly six weeks before Parsons' injury, so the timelines there match up.

However, it is important to note that defensive end and tight end are two totally different positions from a physicality standpoint. Also, Kraft's usage can be limited early on until he is totally comfortable. For Parsons, the Packers want to have him fully healthy and ready to go when he is clear.

Kraft will be ready to go for Week 1 in potentially a limited role for the Packers. However, he still might be a really good fantasy pickup; take it from the Doctor himself.

How concerning are soft tissue injuries, especially to a guy like Christian Watson?

Soft tissue injuries are a really tough subject around today's elite athletes. Every single one of them in the NFL has maxed out the athleticism in their bodies, and one wrong step can lead to injured tissue that sticks with a player all year.

Christian Watson is the perfect example of this. He has been hindered by hamstring injuries throughout the start of his career.

While this is certainly something that could nag him for years to come, he has put in the work to do everything in his power to eliminate them from his game. Here's to hoping it works.

The bottom line is that all of the major injuries that the Packers experienced in 2025 should not be a hindrance in the 2026 season. Tucker Kraft and Micah Parsons should be fully healthy when they return to the field this season.

Now, the only thing left to wait on is the next big injury that the Packers will have to deal with and navigate through, because it is inevitable.
