John Kuhn is a big fan of the Green Bay Packers adding Tyrod Taylor.
After losing Malik Willis to the Miami Dolphins in free agency, the Green Bay Packers signed Tyrod Taylor as their new No. 2 QB.
Taylor will back up Jordan Love and former Packers star John Kuhn is a big fan of the Taylor signing.
"He's that guy that lifts (Love) up," Kuhn said on The Tundra podcast. "He's that guy that bounces ideas off of him. He's the guy that, on the sideline, Jordan misses a throw and says, 'What did you see on that?' He looks at this with 16 years of experience and says, 'Check out the safety rotation and the corner starting to backpedal right at the snap of the ball. This is when you want to focus your attention to the other side and bullet the ball here."
Taylor, who turns 37 in August, appeared in six games for the New York Jets last season. He had 779 passing yards, five passing touchdowns and five interceptions. The veteran completed 59.7% of his passes and went 1-3 as a starter.
Taylor has been in the NFL since 2011. He has played for the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans, New York Giants and Jets. He has 13,033 passing yards and 73 passing touchdowns in his career.
"I think this is great," Kuhn said. "It's going to bring a lot of experience to the room. It's going to bring a lot of character into that room."
Packers starter Jordan Love has turned into a solid QB under Matt LaFleur. Love finished last season with 3,381 passing yards and 23 passing touchdowns while completing 66.3% of his passes.
The 27-year-old Love enters next season with 11,535 passing yards and 83 passing touchdowns. He's 27-20-1 as a starter.
The Packers lost to the Chicago Bears in the wild-card round of the 2026 playoffs. Green Bay hasn't won a playoff game since 2023.
