The Green Bay Packers target defensive line talent and cornerback depth in this comprehensive 2026 NFL Mock Draft, even without a first-round pick.
The 2026 NFL Draft is almost here. If you're reading this, that means it's less than one week away.
The draft kicks off on Thursday, April 23rd, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with the first round scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Rounds 2 and 3 will be on Friday evening, starting at 7 p.m. ET and Rounds 4-7 will kick off on Saturday at noon ET.
The draft is a must-see event for fans of the NFL. Sure, it may start slowing down in those middle rounds and most casual fans will tune out, but the nerdiest amongst us will be keeping track of each and every single pick.
For fans of the Green Bay Packers, the draft will really start on Friday evening. The Packers don't have a first-round pick this year (or next) because of the trade that netted them Micah Parsons last offseason. The Dallas Cowboys hold the Packers' first-round pick in this draft, which is pick No. 20.
Most would tell you it was well worth it for the Packers, but the first round will feel a bit anticlimactic.
The Packers are scheduled to be on the clock at pick No. 52, which is the 20th pick in the second round. Pending a trade, that's when this thing will really kick off for Green Bay.
As we prepare for the draft here at PackersRoundtable, we'll delve into the world of mock drafts for the next week. Here is Mock Draft 1.0, taking into account every projected pick in 2026.
Note: This mock draft was done using the Pro Football Network mock draft simulator and a consensus big board (no trades).
Pick No. 52 (Round 2): Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech Red Raiders

This pick makes a ton of sense for the Packers because they have a desperate need for a big man to play alongside Devonte Wyatt on the interior of the defensive line.
Hunter can be a nose tackle, as he checks in at nearly 6-foot-4, 318 pounds. He can also slide over to three-technique, though, because he has shown the ability to shoot the gap and get into the backfield.
He had a very productive senior season at Texas Tech, notching 41 tackles (16 solo), 10.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble.
Pick No. 84 (Round 3): Will Lee III, CB, Texas A&M Aggies
The need at cornerback has been well-documented, so the Packers would be thrilled if they could get one in the Top 100 picks.
Will Lee III checks in at a lanky 6-foot-1, 189 pounds, and his arms are nearly 32 inches long, so he'll be a problem in man coverage. Lee notched 24 passes defended and four interceptions in three collegiate seasons. He started at the JUCO level but also played for Kansas State before his two seasons in College Station.
Pick No. 120 (Round 4): Emmett Johnson, RB, Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Packers have a massive need behind Josh Jacobs at running back, but they could get more than just an RB2 in Emmett Johnson out of Nebraska. This is a kid who could eventually be Green Bay's RB1.
Checking in at a stout 5-foot-11, 200 pounds, Johnson rushed 251 times for 1,451 yards and 12 touchdowns last season for the Cornhuskers. He averaged 5.8 yards per carry and he also caught 46 passes for 370 yards and three touchdowns.
In the here and now, he's a shifty back who would be a great change-of-pace to Jacobs.
Pick No. 153 (Round 5): Ephesians Prysock, CB, Washington Huskies
Brian Gutekunst is not afraid to double up at a position of need and Ephesians Prysock gives him a whole lot of what he likes in a cornebrack. Prysock checks in at 6-foot-4, 195 pounds so he has elite size for a cornerback. He also has 4.45 speed.
Prysock notched seven passes defended and an interception last season for Washington.
Pick No. 160 (Round 5): Keagen Trost, OT, Missouri Tigers
There's just not a world in which Gutekunst leaves this draft without an offensive lineman that he feels can be viable for the future. Trost's big downside is that he'll be a 25-year-old rookie. The upside is that he's big and experienced.
He's 6-foot-5, 311 pounds, and started 42 games at tackle between stints at Morgan State, Indiana State, Wake Forest and Mizzou.
Pick No. 201 (Round 6): Tim Keenan III, DT, Alabama Crimson Tide

Tim Keenan III checks in at 6-foot-1, 327 pounds and he was a three-year starter at Alabama.
Keenan put up 5.5 sacks, 12.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in four seasons with the Crimson Tide.
Pick No. 236 (Round 7): Tyren Montgomery, WR, John Carroll
The Packers should go for the ultimate flyer with their last pick and select Tyren Montgomery from John Carroll (shoutout Anthony Moeglin).
Montgomery started his career as a walk-on basketball recruit at LSU in 2019, but he wound up on the gridiron and the rest is history.
In 2024 and 2025 combined, Montgomery notched 2,599 yards and 32 touchdowns for John Carroll.
