Could the Green Bay Packers land this Pro Bowl cornerback?
Last offseason, the Green Bay Packers largely neglected the cornerback position, and it ended up costing them dearly. They are on the same path this spring.
Yes, the Packers signed Benjamin St-Juste, but he really is nothing more than a depth piece. Plus, they released Nate Hobbs, who was their top addition in the secondary a year ago.
Green Bay has not yet done anything to fix the secondary, and while the Packers could always turn to the NFL Draft, it's important to remember that they do not own a first-round pick.
Brian Gutekunst does have about $29 million in cap room to work with, though, so Green Bay can always sign another cornerback if need be.
The problem is that the free-agent market has thinned out, and outside of L'Jarius Sneed, there really are no really intriguing options available.
Yet.
Justin Mosqueda of Acme Packing Company listed a bunch of players around the NFL who could still get cut, and Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey was named.

"He’s due a $4 million bonus on the fifth day of the new league year, which will be March 15th, so this one should be decided soon, one way or another. I’m assuming he stays in Baltimore. We’ll see."
Of course, the question with Humphrey is whether or not he his decline in 2025 was indicative of his future or just an off year.
The four-time Pro Bowler registered a brutal 43.8 coverage grade at Pro Football Focus this past season, which ranked 112th out of 114 qualifying corners.
However, Humphrey is just two seasons removed from making a Pro Bowl and earning a First-Team All-Pro selection courtesy of racking up 67 tackles, six interceptions and 15 passes defended. So maybe 2025 was just a one-off?
Regardless, if the Ravens do end up releasing Humphrey, the Packers would seem like a natural destination given their dire need for a cornerback.
If Green Bay heads into 2026 with its cornerback room as currently constructed, problems will unquestionably ensue.
