The Green Bay Packers have extended a wide receiver after losing Romeo Doubs and trading Dontayvion Wicks.

The Green Bay Packers have signed wide receiver Jayden Reed to a three-year, $50.25 million extension.

Reed was entering the final year of his rookie deal before signing this deal. The Packers have been aggressive in making moves in their receiver room this offseason, as they let Romeo Doubs walk in free agency and traded Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Those moves opened up more opportunities for Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, Savion Williams, and Reed to thrive.

Reed has been a quality receiver for Green Bay since he was drafted by the team in the second round in 2023.

In his rookie season, he finished with 64 receptions for 793 yards and eight touchdowns. He added 11 carries for 119 yards and two touchdowns.

Reed followed it up in his second season by hauling in 55 receptions for 857 yards and six touchdowns, along with 20 carries for 163 yards and a touchdown.

His numbers dipped in 2025, as he only appeared in seven games due to injury. The soon-to-be 26-year-old finished with 19 receptions for 207 yards and a touchdown, along with three carries for 28 yards.

Reed has struggled with drops in his career, but has been an explosive piece of the offense when on the field. With Watson and Golden on the outside, and Tucker Kraft coming back off his torn ACL, the offense has the potential to be elite in the 2026 season.

Reed's contract is also favorable for the Packers, as Reed will likely be one of the top targets for quarterback Jordan Love.

Love is coming off a career year, where he completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Green Bay's offense was at its best when Matt LaFleur was aggressive with his playcalling and allowed Love to sling it downfield.

Reed is a key piece to the offense thriving and will be a part of the core long-term as the Packers look to bring the Lombardi Trophy back home for the first time since 2011.
