The Green Bay Packers have made a contract decision on defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt.

The Green Bay Packers are extending defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt on a three-year, $57 million deal with a $20 million signing bonus.

The 28-year-old was entering the final year of his rookie contract as the Packers picked up his fifth-year option for the 2026 season.

Green Bay selected Wyatt with the 28th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Wyatt has continued to develop during his time with the Packers.

In his rookie season in 2022, he finished with 15 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, a pass deflection, and a forced fumble. His numbers jumped in 2023, as he had 36 total tackles, six tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery.

Wyatt's numbers were similar in the 2024 season, finishing with 23 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, five sacks, and two fumble recoveries.

His best season came in 2025 as he had 27 total tackles, six tackles for loss, four sacks, and two pass deflections across 10 games. Wyatt was poised to post career-high numbers in many categories as he developed into a great pass rusher.

However, Wyatt went down with a broken fibula and a torn ligament in his ankle during Green Bay's Thanksgiving matchup against the Detroit Lions, ending his season.

He was a major loss for a Packers defense that suffered a ton of injuries at the end of the season, including superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons.

With Wyatt now inked to an extension, he will be a key piece for Green Bay's defense for years to come alongside Parsons on the defensive line.

Wyatt will be playing with some new pieces alongside him at defensive tackle as the Packers signed Javon Hargrave and drafted Chris McClellan in the third round.

They will all be fitting into a new defensive scheme as Green Bay hired Jonathan Gannon as the defensive coordinator after Jeff Hafley left to become the Miami Dolphins' head coach.

While the Packers had a disappointing playoff exit against the Chicago Bears in 2025, they have a talented roster with new pieces in place and retain talent like Wyatt, giving them a chance to compete for Super Bowls in the next few seasons.
