The Green Bay Packers enter a pivotal 2026 offseason, facing numerous key decisions as they look to build a Super Bowl-caliber roster.
Green Bay dealt with a ton of injuries at the end of the 2025 season and fell in the Wild Card Round to the Chicago Bears.
With Micah Parsons, Devonte Wyatt, Tucker Kraft, and more slated to return, the Packers will have a lot of promise heading into next season.
However, they need to improve the roster flaws. Green Bay could use more pass rush and a run stuffer on the defensive line next to Wyatt.
One player who could make sense there is former All-Pro Calais Campbell. In Fox Sports' free agency predictions, they have Campbell signing in Green Bay.
Campbell is 39 years old and in the twilight of his career, but he has still been a productive player. In the 2025 season, he had 43 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks.
He played for the Arizona Cardinals under Jonathan Gannon, who is now the Packers defensive coordinator.
Campbell would add experience to Green Bay's young roster, and his production, despite his age, would be an upgrade.
For Campbell, it makes sense to join a contender to try to win a Super Bowl before retiring.
The Packers are in need of more pass-rush help outside of Micah Parsons. Parsons had an incredible first season in Green Bay before going down with a torn ACL. He had 41 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 12.5 sacks.
Campbell could help next to Devonte Wyatt, who showed promise before going down with a season-ending injury on Thanksgiving. Wyatt finished the season with 27 total tackles, six tackles for loss, and four sacks in 10 games.
Campbell would fit well next to him and be a solid stopgap at defensive tackle, giving the Packers room to address longer-term answers at cornerback.
Brian Gutekunst and the Green Bay front office will need to make some key decisions this offseason to elevate this team to Super Bowl contention, and adding a veteran like Campbell could help the pass rush and stop the run.
