Green Bay Packers star quarterback Jordan Love opened up honestly about his thoughts on this year's team.

Heading into the 2026 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers are facing a lot of pressure. They are expected to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender in the NFC.

Last season, the Packers were a Super Bowl favorite throughout the first half of the year. Unfortunately, injuries completely derailed their season. They also suffered a brutal collapse in the Wild Card round of the playoffs against the Chicago Bears, blowing a 21-3 halftime lead.

Among the names facing the most pressure in Green Bay are head coach Matt LaFleur and quarterback Jordan Love.

No, there is no discussion about Love not being the long-term guy for the Packers. However, fans and analysts alike are expecting to see the 27-year-old signal caller finally make the leap from being a star to a superstar.

Love put together a solid all-around season in 2025, but his numbers dropped off from the year before. In 15 games played, Love completed 66.3 percent of his pass attempts for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

In order to be a true championship contender, Green Bay is going to need more from Love.

That being said, training camp is set to begin. Love opened up honestly about his thoughts on the team ahead of camp. He is clearly excited to get to work and confident in the roster that has been put together by general manager Brian Gutekunst.

"Man, I'm excited. I love the guys we got," Love said. "I love the team we got. I think everybody's in a good place."

On both sides of the football, the Packers are loaded with talent. They have a great supporting cast for Love offensively and the defense has elite potential.

Defensively, Green Bay will be anxiously awaiting the return of superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons. He is still recovering from the torn ACL he suffered last season and is expected to miss the first half of the year. If the Packers can weather the storm until his return, Parsons would help Green Bay make a strong second half push.

A lot of the team's Super Bowl aspirations will hinge on the arm of Love. If he can take the jump expected from him, the Packers are going to be a difficult team to beat.

Only time will tell what the 2026 season has in store for Green Bay and Love. But, it's clear that he's feeling good heading into training camp and is confident that the pieces are in place for the Packers to compete.
