Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has received a major take about his chances in the MVP race.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is entering a pivotal season as they are in their Super Bowl window.
Love is coming off a career year, as he completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions. The 27-year-old quarterback was efficient and thrived when head coach Matt LaFleur was aggressive with the play-calling.
Love is receiving some hype ahead of the season as Kay Adams ranked him as her number one dark horse MVP candidate for the 2026 season.
The Packers have some talented weapons, including Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, Jayden Reed, and Tucker Kraft.
Watson is coming off the best season of his career, as he finished with 35 receptions for 611 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games.
Golden is poised for a breakout year in 2026 as he was Green Bay's first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. In his rookie campaign, he hauled in 29 receptions for 361 yards. Golden's best game came in the playoffs as he had four receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown against the Chicago Bears in the Wild Card Game.
Reed will also play a pivotal role in the passing attack, as he was missed in the 2025 season, appearing in only seven games. When he played in all 17 games in 2024, Reed finished with 55 receptions for 857 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 163 yards and a touchdown.

Kraft was becoming one of the best tight ends in football before he went down with a torn ACL in 2025. Through eight games, Kraft had 32 receptions for 489 yards and six touchdowns.
With the weapons in place, Love has a chance to have an MVP-caliber campaign in 2026. However, it will come down to LaFleur's play-calling, as there were flashes of a dominant offense when he leaned on the passing attack.
Throughout the season, there were times when LaFleur was more conservative with the playcalling, which led to some three-and-outs and to Love not playing as well.
While Love isn't the favorite to win the MVP award, he will have a shot if everything clicks and the Packers are a contender in the NFC.
