Green Bay Packers Star's IG Gets Hacked, Says He's Leaving Team cover image

There is some weird stuff going on with the Green Bay Packers right now.

A Green Bay Packers star's IG was hacked on Friday, saying he's leaving the team.

The player was Rashan Gary.

Gary has two years left on his contract. The Packers signed the defensive end to a four-year, $96 million extension in 2023.

Gary had 7.5 sacks, 25 solo tackles, seven tackles for loss and 20 QB hits last season. He was second on the team in sacks and ninth in solo tackles.

Gary has been with the Packers since 2019. He has 46.5 sacks, 154 solo tackles, 46 tackles for loss and 111 QB hits with Green Bay.

The Packers lost to the Chicago Bears in the wild-card round of the 2026 playoffs. Green Bay hasn't won a playoff game since 2023.

Chicago outscored Green Bay 25-6. The team could have used Micah Parsons, who likely would have made Caleb Williams' life more difficult. Parsons, who is recovering from an ACL tear, had a stellar first season with the Packers. He finished with 12.5 sacks, 19 solo tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 27 QB hits in 14 games.

The Packers didn't win a game after Parsons tore his ACL.

Former Arizona Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon is the Packers' new defensive coordinator. It will be fascinating to see if Gary is still on the team.
