The Green Bay Packers have traded one of their contributing receivers to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Green Bay Packers have made a trade, sending wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick.

Wicks has been a solid receiver for the Packers across his three seasons. Green Bay drafted him with a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

In the 2025 season, Wicks hauled in 30 receptions for 332 yards and two touchdowns. While Wicks has been a solid weapon for Jordan Love and the Packers' offense, they couldn't afford to pay everyone.

The Eagles were willing to, as they inked him to a one-year, $12.5 million extension. Green Bay also let wide receiver Romeo Doubs walk in free agency to the New England Patriots on a four-year, $68 million deal.

The Packers will now lean on Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, Jayden Reed, and Savion Williams in the receiver room.

Watson is coming off a career year, as he hauled in 35 receptions for 611 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games. He was performing like one of the top receivers in the league when he returned from his injury.

Reed will be looking for a bounce-back year, as he only appeared in seven games in the 2025 season. In 2024, he showcased his value, finishing with 19 receptions for 207 yards and a touchdown.

Golden and Williams are the biggest beneficiaries with the departures of Wicks and Doubs.

Golden was the Packers' first-round pick in the 2025 draft and showed flashes of his talent in his rookie campaign. He had 29 receptions for 361 yards in the regular season but had a breakout performance in the playoffs, as he had four receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown.

He is poised to have a big role in Green Bay's offense in the 2026 season.

Williams will also be a contributing weapon for the Packers' offense in his second year after being drafted in the third round in 2025. He had 10 receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown in his rookie campaign.

This deal with the Eagles makes a ton of sense for Green Bay, as they will now feature their young wideouts more alongside Watson and Reed next season.
