Armed with a refreshed receiving corps and a high-upside depth chart, Jordan Love possesses the surrounding talent to transform from a top-tier starter into a legitimate MVP candidate for the Green Bay Packers.
Things aren't perfect for the Green Bay Packers heading into the 2026 season. There are certainly some major question marks on both sides of the football and it doesn't help that their best overall player, EDGE Micah Parsons, may miss half of the season.
That's certainly a reason to feel down on the Packers if you're a pessimist.
For the optimists among us, though, it's worth remembering that the NFL is still a "quarterback's league", and the Packers have one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in Jordan Love.
Can he be consistently elite and can he stay consistently healthy? Those are the two questions facing Love heading into the 2026 season and they're the two questions most Top 10 quarterbacks in the league have to grapple with.
The answers to those two questions are really the differentiators between great quarterbacks and MVP quarterbacks.
Love will certainly get every opportunity to succeed in 2026, because the Packers have done all they can to build a strong unit around him.
Is the offensive roster unstoppable? Probably not. Only one or two teams a year ever enter that category.
Is this a unit that can pop off and put up a ton of points, though? The answer to that question is "absolutely yes", though it's worth noting that Jared Dubin of CBS Sports doesn't think so.
He still believes Love has a good thing going around him, but there are several other quarterbacks who have it better than Green Bay's, per Dubin's recently released rankings on the team's that have best set up their quarterback for success.
You can argue either way, but the the Packers have at the very least given Love a "very good environment" to thrive in as a quarterback.
Consider the following.
He's got an established WR1 through WR3 in Christian Watson, Matthew Golden and Jayden Reed.
Both Watson and Reed just got big contracts, and Golden is the first first-round pick wide receiver for the Packers since Javon Walker in 2022. There's reason to expect big things from the wide receiver room this season.
At tight end, Tucker Kraft is coming off a torn ACL, but he was trending to be one of the best tight ends in the league last season. If he comes back strong, he should be in that category alongside George Kittle, Trey McBride and Brock Bowers in 2026.
If Josh Jacobs is able to play and he stays healthy, he's one of the best running backs in the league. Yes, his legal situation is murky as is the depth chart behind him at running back, but if he's on the field, that usually leads to a positive result for Green Bay.
And sure, Jordan Morgan is a new starter at left tackle and that scares some people, but remember, he was selected No. 25 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft and he was a First-Team All-Pac-12 player in college at Arizona.
If they stay healthy, the Packers have solid offensive linemen at center in Sean Rhyan and at right tackle in Zach Tom. Anthony Belton at right guard has All-Pro potential, especially as a run-blocker, and Aaron Banks is at least an experienced veteran at left guard.
Throw in the fact that Matt LaFleur is consistently called one of the best offensive minds in the NFL, and there's no reason to believe that the Packers won't have a Top 10 offense in 2026.
Much of that will come down to Love, but we saw at points in 2025 that he has MVP-level play in him. Last season, he threw for 3,381 yards and 23 touchdowns with just six interceptions. He also completed 24-of-46 passes for 323 yards and four touchdowns in Green Bay's playoff game against the Chicago Bears.
The Packers may not have the best quarterback ecosystem in the NFL, but they certainly belong in the "very good" category of these rankings.
