Josh Jacobs' questionable status signals a potential shift for the Green Bay Packers. Will Jordan Love shoulder the load and unleash the "LLC" offense against a porous Cardinals' passing defense? It's up to head coach Matt LaFleur to make it happen.

The Green Bay Packers seem to be preparing for a world in which star running back Josh Jacobs may be limited against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season.

Heck, he may not even play if their latest roster moves are any indication.

On Friday's injury report, Jacobs was listed as questionable due to a calf injury as well as an illness that he has been battling ever since Week 6's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Despite throwing up before and after the game, Jacobs finished taht game with 150 total yards and two touchdowns, so the idea of him battling through injury again this week just seemed to be taken for granted.

But then, on Saturday, the Packers made some roster moves. They activated guard/center Jacob Monk off the injured reserve and elevated defensive lineman Arron Mosby and running back Pierre Strong Jr. from the practice squad.

Behind Jacobs on the depth chart, the Packers have been rolling with a solid No. 2 option in Emanuel Wilson, and behind him has been Chris Brooks. The Packers have been running with three backs all season so far, so why would they need to elevate Strong if it wasn't as a precautionary move with Jacobs both dealing with a calf injury as well as being under the weather?

Jacobs could, of course, play against the Cardinals and have another massive game, but if you read the tea leaves, it certainly seems like he may not play. In fact, it seems as if he's a game-time decision.

That info will impact bettors and fantasy football enthusiasts, but it should in no way deter the Packers from their game plan.

Yes, Jacobs is one of the best running backs in the NFL, and yes, Matt LaFleur's offense largely runs through him. With that said, the straw that stirs the drink in Green Bay is quarterback Jordan Love, and there are no indications that he's unhealthy or injured heading into this game.

The Packers gave Love a $220 million contract because they believe he can be "the guy" in Green Bay. Maybe he won't be the next Hall of Fame quarterback for the Packers, but he absolutely has displayed the talent to at the very least be a Top 10 NFL quarterback.

Frankly, he's displayed MVP talent at times this season, but he's also had a few questionable throws and moments that perhaps has kept LaFleur from going all-in on putting the offense on his shoulders.

That's exactly what the Packers are paying for when it comes to Love, though, and he has the physical tools to be mentioned among the best of the best.

The Cardinals have the sixth-worst passing defense in the NFL heading into this game, giving up 246 yards per game through the air. Love should be able to put up 300-plus yards on this team, easily.

If the Packers can't lean on Jacobs in this one, LaFleur needs to let Love sling the ball at will and take advantage of the plethora of options he has at tight end and wide receiver.

Forget the run-first offense this week and instead go with the LLC offense.

    Let. Love. Cook.
