It's safe to say that Micah Parsons loves being a Green Bay Packer and playing for Packers fans.
Parsons, who is recovering from an ACL tear, is very appreciative of the messages he's received from Packers fans.
The former Dallas Cowboys star is glad that he got traded to the Packers and not another team.
Parsons had a stellar first season with the Packers. He finished with 12.5 sacks, 19 solo tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 27 QB hits in 14 games.
Parsons made the Pro Bowl this season despite tearing his ACL against the Denver Broncos. The Penn State has made the Pro Bowl every season of his NFL career.
The Packers made the playoffs this season, but they lost to the Chicago Bears in the Wild Card Round, losing by a final score of 31-27. Chicago outscored Green Bay 25-6. The team could have used Parsons, who likely would have made Caleb Williams' life more difficult.
Many Packers fans wanted Matt LaFleur fired after the collapse to the Bears, but Green Bay did the opposite, giving the head coach an extension. It was the right move since Parsons said before the extension happened that he didn't want LaFleur fired.
"I reached out to him when I started seeing this, and I said, 'Man, when I agreed to come here, you were part of the reason why I came here, I want you a part of this and I love you and I think you're a great coach,'" Parsons said. "And he appreciated those words, and we had a brief conversation, but Matt, I think he's a great guy and I just think he cares so much, like he cares so much about the players."
The Packers didn't win a game after Parsons tore his ACL. The Pro Bowler believes he can be back on the field within the first month of next season.
It will be interesting to see if that happens.
Parsons will be coached by Jonathan Gannon next season. The former Arizona Cardinals coach is Green Bay's new defensive coordinator.
