This is huge news for the Packers.

Packers star RB Josh Jacobs suffered a left knee injury against the Giants in the first half and was ruled out for the rest of the game.

Many Green Bay fans are worried about Jacobs' injury since he didn't return during the New York game.

However, according to NFL insider Rob Demovsky of ESPN, the early indication is that Jacobs' injury is not believed to be season-ending, which is great news for the Packers.

Before getting hurt against the Giants, Jacobs carried the ball seven times for 40 yards. The Packers won in New York by a final score of 27-20 to improve to 6-3-1 on the season.

"I think anytime a player, especially of his magnitude, but anytime a player doesn't finish a game, you're always concerned about the welfare of them," Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said after the 27-24 victory.

Jacobs is set to undergo more tests on Monday. The former Raiders back has carried the ball 169 times this season for the Packers for 648 yards and 11 touchdowns. He's well on his way to making his second straight Pro Bowl.

If Jacobs misses games, third-year running back Emanuel Wilson will have to step up. Wilson rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown against the Giants.

"Next man up," Wilson said after the Packers-Giants game. "I just try my best to match his game the best I can. When he came back out, standing there the rest of the game, he was just telling me to believe in myself and be me and he trusts me."

The Packers have seven games left in the regular season. They face the Vikings, Lions, Bears, Broncos, Bears, Ravens and Vikings.

"That's ultimately (it)," LaFleur said. "We'll enjoy it tonight but we know what we have in front of us, a division rival, they beat us twice last year. Last two times at home we've come up short.

"We're going to have our hands full for another 60-minute, four-quarter battle. We're going to have to get healthy, recover and put the work in to go play our best football."
