Micah Parsons and Tucker Kraft are recovering from ACL tears.
Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst provided health updates on Micah Parsons and Tucker Kraft during a recent interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio.
Parsons and Kraft are recovering from ACL tears.
"They're doing great," Gutekunst said. "Tuck's been in here every day and he's obviously a little bit ahead of schedule just because his injury happened earlier than Micah's did. But Micah's such a, he's a little bit of a freak. So I think some of that has taken over and he's doing really well as well. So certainly expect both of those guys back early in the season and they'll be a big part of what we're doing moving forward."
Parsons had a stellar first season with the Packers. He finished with 12.5 sacks, 19 solo tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 27 QB hits in 14 games.
Parsons made the Pro Bowl last season despite tearing his ACL against the Denver Broncos. The Penn State product has made the Pro Bowl every season of his NFL career.
The Packers made the playoffs last season, but they lost to the Chicago Bears in the Wild Card Round, losing by a final score of 31-27. Chicago outscored Green Bay 25-6 to win the contest. The Packers could have used Parsons, who likely would have made Caleb Williams' life more difficult.
Kraft tore his ACL on November 2. He appeared in eight games last season and finished with 32 receptions for 489 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns.
The Packers selected Kraft with the 78th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The South Dakota State product has 113 catches for 1,551 receiving yards and 15 receiving touchdowns with Green Bay.
The Packers haven't won a playoff game since 2023. Let's see if that trend continues next season.
