The Green Bay Packers are preparing to face the Philadelphia Eagles in a potential NFC Championship Game preview on Monday night, and even though the Packers are at home, the vast majority of pundits seem to be picking the Eagles.
It should come as no surprise that Philadelphia radio stations are tabbing the Birds as favorites in this game, but Kyle Quinn of 94 WIP took things a step too far.
While previewing the game on Monday morning, Quinn absolutely shredded Green Bay, saying that he just doesn't think the Packers "are that good" and that he doesn't think Jordan Love "is very good at all."
Quinn also said that the Packers' Week 1 victory over the Detroit Lions and then said that he "can't even really count that" because teams are still figuring out who they are in the season opener.
It's one thing to say that you don't think Green Bay is as good as its record or that you aren't a fan of Love, but simply not counting a Week 1 win is absolutely asinine.
Should we just remove all Week 1 games from the standings then? Are the Eagles really 5-2 than 6-2 because their season-opening win over the Dallas Cowboys "doesn't really count?"
What's funny is you know for a fact that if the Packers lost to a team like the Miami Dolphins in Week 1, for example, Quinn would absolutely be using it in an argument against Green Bay.
Look, Kyle: we get you're a Philly radio host and you want the Eagles to win, but your assessment is one of the most nonsensical ones I have ever heard.
The fact of the matter is that both Green Bay and Philadelphia are good teams and may very well be the two top clubs in the NFC. They met in the playoffs last winter, and it stands to reason that they may see each other in January again this year.
This Week 10 matchup could end up being critical as far as home-field advantage is concerned between the two squads, so there is definitely a whole lot at stake here.
Plus, the Packers are attempting to rebound from a brutal loss to the Carolina Panthers last week, so they are also trying to get back on track as well as attempting to send the Eagles a message.
