Roundtable's Andrew Kulha breaks down a few positives from the Green Bay Packers' 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Contrary to what offensive lineman Rasheed Walker thinks, the Green Bay Packers will not finish the season undefeated.

Needless to say, it was a rough outing for the Packers in Week 3, where they fell in dramatic fashion to the Cleveland Browns by the score of 13-10.

Cleveland scored all of its points in the final 3:38 of the game, and ended up winning with an Andre Szmyt walk off field goal.

Walker made comments last week after the Packers handily defeated the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football by the score of 27-18.

“I think we can go undefeated honestly… Pound for pound, I look at these teams, and I don’t really see who’s better than us honestly. That’s why I can say that so confidently.”

And boy did Walker get a bitter taste of reality.

After a solid career at Penn State, he was drafted in the seventh round and became a starter during his second season, so you’d have to think that by now that anything you say that’s remotely controversial, it’s going to be taken as bulletin board material.

Needless to say, when addressing the media on Monday during his weekly press conferences, Packers coach Matt LaFleur wasn’t too thrilled about the “undefeated” remarks.

“The goal — and I’ve said it to you guys a million times to you guys; I don’t think I’ve obviously said it enough to our team — the goal is to go 1-0 every week, and it pisses me off when we start talking about things outside of the next game, things that are way down the road. Keep the focus on the present, on the now, and worry about getting better each and every day.”

Apart from getting subtly chewed out by his own coach, Walker was a key contributor to the Packers’ struggles against the Browns.

He posted a team-worst 34.4 PFF grade, while simultaneously posting a sub-40 pass block grade, and committed two penalties – one of them being a false start in the final two minutes of the game.

LaFleur later continued by saying that this loss could be a good reminder that everything isn’t so matter of fact.

“I think it’s always a good reminder, like, ‘Hey guys, pump the brakes on everything. We’re just trying to win one game at a time.’ And if you’re thinking or have your sights set on anything outside of that, I think you’re focused on the wrong things.”

Only one team in the history of the NFL has gone undefeated, and the only recent team that was close to it was the 2007 New England Patriots where they finished the regular season undefeated, but lost in Super Bowl 42 to the New York Giants.

Green Bay’s next game is against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football with an 8:20 p.m. ET / 7:20 CT kickoff, broadcasting on NBC.
