The Green Bay Packers do not own a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which certainly removes a great deal of the excitement for Packers fans.
Green Bay traded each of its next two first-rounders in the Micah Parsons deal last August, and to make matters worse, Parsons is currently recovering from a torn ACL he suffered midway through the 2025 campaign.
Nevertheless, the Packers do own the 52nd overall pick in the second round of the draft next month, and they should be able to pick up an impact player.
Green Bay has some very clear needs, but perhaps the two most glaring are along its defensive front and at cornerback.
Not only is Parsons sidelined, but the Packers traded Rashan Gary and lost Kingsley Enagbare to free agency, severely weakening the Packers' pass rush. Meanwhile, Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine are the team's two starting corners.
Green Bay will have to choose which hole to address first, and while cornerback may seem like the more pressing need, all bets may be off if one particular player is available when the Packers are on the clock: Florida defensive tackle Caleb Banks.

Of course, it was revealed that Banks suffered a broken foot the night before the Scouting Combine and worked out without realizing the injury had occurred. He underwent surgery to repair the injury earlier this month, marking the second time Banks has has foot surgery over the last six months.
As a result, Banks' stock has dipped, but the general consensus is that he will still be off the board long before the Packers are ready to pick.
If Banks is there at No. 52, however, Green Bay might just pull the trigger.
Yes, Banks is a defensive tackle, but he stands 6-foot-6, weighs 330 pounds and flashed tremendous potential when he was actually on the field at Florida.
The Packers did just sign Javon Hargrave, which could potentially rule them out as a match for Banks, but I'm not sure Brian Gutekunst would pass up on a player with his raw talent if he were to be available on Day 2.
