Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons boldly declared that Jordan Love would win the NFL MVP award this season.
After collapsing down the stretch in 2025, the Green Bay Packers are coming into the 2026 season hungry for more.
Green Bay lost five straight games to end the year, including a tough loss in the wild-card round of the playoffs to the rival Chicago Bears. Part of the problem for the Packers was all the injuries that hit them, but this team understands that excuses can't be made.
Quarterback Jordan Love returns to the team, and he will be looking to pick up where he left off. Love has all the talent to lead this team, and he is entering the new season with a lot of pressure on his shoulders.
But the veteran signal-caller is ready to show exactly what he can do. So much so that Packers star defensive pass rusher Micah Parsons is rolling with Love to win the NFL MVP award this year.
"I'm not gonna lie, I'm going with Jordan Love," Parsons said. "Dark horse and MVP."
Within this prediction, Parsons has called for Love to throw for 40 touchdowns, while having over 4,00 yards passing. This is a bold statement from Parsons, but he seems to have full belief in his signal-caller.
"40 TDs, and I think he's going to have over 4,000 yards this year. There's gonna be a time this year where maybe the offense isn't doing well and Jordan just completely takes over. That's what you want out of your quarterback. That full takeover, like, and I see the way that Matt talks about Jordan. When the relationship becomes more than like 'these are the play calls, you run them' to 'hey, what do you think we get into here? What are you feeling? Hey, I trust you'...he gets it, bro," Parsons said.
Last season, Love threw for 3,381 yards with 23 touchdowns and six interceptions. His play helped the Packers overcome some tough losses offensively, and the team is going to need him to keep things up this year.
Green Bay wants to get back to being true Super Bowl contenders this year, and Love will play a large role in that journey. Love has been the Packers starter for three seasons, but he has yet to get the team to the Super Bowl.
The Packers have given Love all sorts of weapons to work with, so Parsons' prediction could come true. Love has thrown for over 4,000 yards in a season before, with his career-high touchdowns being 32, coming in 2024.
But Love will need to stay the course, taking things game-by-game when it comes to his play.
