The Green Bay Packers haven't finished last in the NFC North since 2005.
The Green Bay Packers have been predicted to finish in last place in the NFC North next season by NFL analyst Moe Moton of Bleacher Report.
Green Bay hasn't finished last in the NFC North since 2005, but Moton believes the 2026 Packers "have major concerns on both sides of the ball."
"Offensively, the Packers may be without running back Josh Jacobs for a period of time, depending on the outcome of an ongoing legal case and any potential discipline under the league's personal conduct policy. ... Furthermore, Green Bay's defense could struggle to give the offense more possessions without star edge-rusher Micah Parsons, who's recovering from a torn ACL with meniscus damage," Knox wrote. "Without Parsons to mask coverage issues in the secondary, the Packers could be off to a slow start this year. If the Minnesota Vikings offense looks sharp with quarterback Kyler Murray, Green Bay could be in an uphill climb to stay out of the NFC North basement."
The Packers haven't won a Super Bowl since the 2010 season and their last playoff win was during the 2023 season.
Parsons tore his ACL last season against the Denver Broncos in Week 15. Green Bay didn't win a game after that and lost to the Chicago Bears in the wild-card round of the 2026 playoffs.
The Packers lost Romeo Doubs to the New England Patriots in free agency and traded Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason. Without Wicks and Doubs, Green Bay has Tucker Kraft, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden, Savion Williams, Skyy Moore, Jakobie Keeney-James, Isaiah Neyor and Will Sheppard on their roster at wideout for Jordan Love to target.
Love signed a four-year, $220 million contract with Green Bay in 2024. It's time for him to play like a superstar and live up to that monster contract.
It would be shocking to see the Packers finish in last place in the NFC North. Most people you talk to have the Minnesota Vikings coming in last place because they don't have a starting QB yet.
However, the fact that Moton believes the Packers have a chance of being in last place is concerning.
