Netflix’s first Thanksgiving Eve showdown pits the Green Bay Packers against the Los Angeles Rams, providing a primetime stage for Jordan Love to extend his undefeated, high-stakes dominance during this holiday window.
It's not officially a Thanksgiving game for the Green Bay Packers, but it's going to feel like it.
Their 2026 clash against the Los Angeles Rams will be played on Thanksgiving Eve. That's right, the "biggest party night of the year" will host the NFL's first ever game to take place on November 25.
This game between the Packers and Rams, set to be streamed on Netflix, will kick off at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Speaking of kicking off, this game is the proverbial appetizer for Thanksgiving Day, which is a day the Packers are very familiar with playing on. They don't have a standing appointment like the Detroit Lions or Dallas Cowboys do, but the Packers have played 39 times on Thanksgiving.
Their overall record on Turkey Day is 17-20-2, which is a winning percentage of .462, but the Pack have been hot in the Jordan Love era.
In fact, Green Bay is 3-0 on Thanksgiving when Love is the quarterback, so the Packers have to feel great as they look ahead to this Thanksgiving (Eve) game against the Rams. It may not be on the actual day of, but Love's ability to come up in big moments and play his best when the spotlight is on will undoubtedly be a factor in this game.
That Thanksgiving magic of his will absolutely transfer to the night before.
Including last season's 31-24 win over the Lions in Detroit, Love has completed 68% of his passes on Turkey Day for 776 yards and nine touchdowns with no interceptions.
In 2025, he completed 18-of-35 passes for 234 yards and four touchdowns. He was also clutch. In that win, he became the first Packer with multiple touchdown passes on fourth down in the same game since 1978, at least. That's when the Elias Sports Bureau began tracking that particular stat.
"That's who he is," star pass-rusher Micah Parsons said after that game. "He's going to show up. Injured, hurt, he's going to fight for his guys and play at the highest level. J-Love's the ultimate competitor. There's not too many quarterbacks that fight like him, through everything he's going through -- all the injuries. He just comes in and he works. It's starting to show off. The jump he's making this year is night and day."
Love's "jump" from 2024 to 2025 was absolutely real.
He went from throwing for 3,389 yards and 25 touchdowns with 11 interceptions in 2024 to throwing for 3,381 yards and 23 touchdowns, with just six interceptions. His completion percentage jumped up from 63.1% to 66.3%. His average passer rating went from 96.7 to 101.2.
Love came up big in multiple spots last season for the Packers (including in their playoff loss to the Chicago Bears), so it's easy to predict that he's going to ball out in this Thanksgiving Eve game against the Rams.
Like Parsons said, that's just who he is.
