The Green Bay Packers have reached a contract extension with tight end Tucker Kraft.

The Green Bay Packers got a deal done at the buzzer with Tucker Kraft, reaching a four-year, $75 million deal worth up to $92 million, which includes a $26.5 million signing bonus.

Kraft and the Packers get the contract extension done a day before their Week 1 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Kraft has proven to be one of the best tight ends in the league over the last two seasons. In the 2024 season, he had 50 receptions for 707 yards and seven touchdowns. He improved in 2025 and was set to have a career year, but tore his ACL in Week 9. In the eight games he played, Kraft had 32 receptions for 489 yards and six touchdowns.

He is arguably the top weapon in Green Bay's offense when healthy, as he's been a consistent target for Jordan Love and is great at getting yards after the catch.

In addition to Kraft, Green Bay also locked up Christian Watson and Jayden Reed on contract extensions this offseason, giving Love his array of weapons for the future.

Matthew Golden also has multiple years remaining on his contract as he enters his second season in the league.

With the pass catchers the Packers have and Love's efficiency, they will lean heavily on the passing attack in the 2026 season, especially with the uncertainty surrounding star running back Josh Jacobs, who remains on the Commissioner's Exempt List.

Love played at a high level in the 2025 season, completing 66.3 percent of his passes for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions. With Kraft back healthy, Love's numbers should only improve in 2026, and he could find himself as an MVP candidate.

While it's a risk to extend Kraft off an injury, it's hard to find a tight end better than him, and if he can get back to the level he played at in 2025, Green Bay's offense should be one of the best in the NFL.
