Jordan Love has done a little of everything for Green Bay this year.
The Green Bay Packers were able to get back on track this past week, taking down the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football.
Green Bay moved to 5-3 on the season with the win, keeping hopes alive in the tight NFC North division race. The Packers didn't play the cleanest football against the Panthers, but it was enough to get the job done.
Going forward, the Packers will have to be a little less sloppy, especially as the team faces off against better competition. But for quarterback Jordan Love, he again was one of the bright spots for Green Bay in this game,
Following the conclusion of the Sunday games, NFL analyst Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report handed out letter grades to each quarterback around the league. For Love, he was given a "B+" for helping Green Bay get the win over the Panthers on Thursday night.
Love finished the game by throwing for 288 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. But the veteran signal-caller once again was the hero for the Packers, proving his worth to this team on the field.
Given how poor the running game and offensive line play have been this season, Love has been the player that the Packers have needed. For the year, Love has thrown for 2,246 yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions.
Love has been able to help the Packers overcome all the different issues and injuries so far this season, keeping the team alive. But as the year goes on, other players on the roster will need to provide him with some help.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has praised Love for his leadership this season, while also being astonished with what the signal-caller can do on the field. LaFleur understands that Love has carried this group, and without him, Green Bay may be dead in the water early on this season.
The Packers will be looking to keep building momentum in their next game this week against the New England Patriots on the road. Kickoff between Green Bay and the Patriots is scheduled for 1:25 p.m. PT/4:25 p.m. ET from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
After the Patriots game, Green Bay will face off against the Minnesota Vikings in a rematch from a wild Week 1. Both sides understand how important this game is, but for now, the Packers will focus on New England, looking to keep stacking wins this year.
