Lambeau Field hosts a pivotal primetime clash as the Green Bay Packers navigate key defensive injuries to try to stop CeeDee Lamb and push the Dallas Cowboys toward a season-defining losing streak.
If you can believe it, it's already Week 6 of the 2026 NFL season. If you can believe it... Sadly, for the Green Bay Packers, Micah Parsons still hasn't returned.
Many expected that Parsons would be back from his torn ACL for this Week 6 contest against the Dallas Cowboys. It fit the recovery timeline, and there were also the emotional implications of Parsons returning against his former team.
Week 6 was the game that was circled, but Parsons is wisely taking his time in his return.
In the meantime, the 3-2 Packers have a huge game against the 2-3 Cowboys. This feels like two teams trending in two very different directions, but this Sunday Night Football contest will be the tipping point for each team — either way.
If the Packers win, they get a primetime win at home and can say that they're officially on a winning streak...of two games. Considering how this season started, that would be a huge deal.
The Cowboys need to avoid a losing streak after dropping a game to the previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers and rookie undrafted quarterback Jalon Daniels in Week 5. There's a ton on the line for them in this one.
It promises to be a matchup between two explosive offenses, which means defense could end up winning the day.
Here's everything (else) you need to know about this contest.

Key Matchup: Keisean Nixon vs. CeeDee Lamb
With Brandon Cisse questionable with a hip and likely slowed down a bit even if he does play, the Packers are going to lean on Keisean Nixon to get a body on Dallas' star receiver, CeeDee Lamb.
Nixon believes himself to be a CB1 and he's had a pretty good season so far with four passes defended and an interception on the season.
Lamb is a star and there's no doubting that. He's caught 39 passes for 507 yards and four touchdowns so far this season and he's by far quarterback Dak Prescott's favorite target.
The way the Packers play defense means that Nixon won't follow Lamb around, but anytime they match up one-on-one, the winner of that matchup could determine the winner of the game.
Key Quote: Packers QB Jordan Love on stacking success
“You’ve got to keep stacking,” Love said. “We talk about it in the locker room all the time and team buildings. You have a game like that, you’ve got to be able to follow it up with another great performance.”
Prediction:
Packers 24, Cowboys 21
