Packers' right tackle Zach Tom went down with a knee injury against the Broncos.

The Green Bay Packers were decimated by injuries in their loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 15. No loss was more significant than star Micah Parsons, who suffered a torn ACL.

However, Green Bay also lost right tackle Zach Tom to a knee injury. Tom did receive positive news as there is no structural damage to his knee.

It is unclear when Tom will return to the lineup, which means Green Bay could take on the Chicago Bears on Saturday without him.

Tom is their best offensive lineman and is crucial to the Packers' success on offense. Once Tom left the game, the Broncos' pressure heated up, and quarterback Jordan Love was under a ton of pressure.

"A double whammy for us, just losing some pieces that are critical for our success," head coach Matt LaFleur said about losing Parsons, Tom, and Christian Watson. "I told the guys, no one is going to feel sorry for us."

If Tom is unable to go against Chicago, Green Bay will likely start backup tackle Darian Kinnard. Kinnard replaced Tom, which limited the offensive playcalling. When Tom is in the lineup, Green Bay will bring in Kinnard at tight end as an extra offensive lineman.

However, with him at right tackle, LaFleur abandoned those play calls.

While it would help the offense for Tom to play against the Bears, it's important to prioritize his long-term health. In the offseason, Green Bay inked the 26-year-old to a four-year $88 million extension.

He has been a big reason for Love having time to deliver the ball downfield. The 27-year-old quarterback has completed 66.4 percent of his passes for 3,304 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

LaFleur will need to adjust Green Bay's gameplan against Chicago in their rematch if Tom is out. They won't be able to attack downfield as much, especially if Watson is also ruled out.

The Packers will need to rely on establishing running back Josh Jacobs, as well as the short passing game. It could be a more methodical approach, driving down the field rather than the big pass plays.
