The Green Bay Packers aren't playing in the Super Bowl. That's the saddest part of this story, and it may very well be the saddest part of your day. Let's hope that's the case.
You won't find many outside of the northeast who are excited to see the New England Patriots back in the big game, and you're also not going to find many Packers fans who are thrilled that the Seattle Seahawks have a chance to hoist another Lombardi Trophy.
That doesn't mean there isn't plenty to talk about as it relates to Super Bowl LX, though, but let's forget about the game for a minute.
Let's talk about food.
For many across this great country of ours, the Super Bowl comes down to food. What are you eating and who is bringing what to the party?
From seven layer dip to 'lil smokies, anything and everything should be on the table. How much can you fit on your plate? That's honestly the bigger, and perhaps most important, question.
Then there's the halftime show. Let's throw away politics for a minute, can't we? For music lovers, it's a chance to see a headlining act on arguably the biggest stage in the world.
For those who love both football and music, such as the author of this article, it's a chance to combine two great passions into one Sunday night. You really can't beat it, even when your team isn't in the game.
And on top of all of that, there's still Packers stuff to talk about. Jonathan Gannon is building out his defensive staff, and that seemingly will free up head coach Matt LaFleur to focus on offense -- which is what he's good at.
There's also free agency and the NFL Draft to consider. It may seema bit too early to start getting into mock drafts, but that's the beauty of the NFL, isn't it? It's a year-round event and the draft is a huge part of it.
Which players should the Packers be targeting?
Andrew Kulha of PackersRoundtable and Anthony Moeglin of RoundTable Sports discuss all of this and more on the latest episod of the PackersRoundtable Podcast.
