The Green Bay Packers have a difficult decision to make on head coach Matt LaFleur.

Matt LaFleur and the Green Bay Packers are set to face off against the Chicago Bears on Saturday night in the Wild Card round of the NFC playoffs.

For the third time this season, the two NFC North rivals will face off. In the first two meetings, each team came away with a win. However, the Packers let the Bears off the hook in the second game of the regular season.

In that game, Green Bay had a late lead and Romeo Doubs made a mistake on an onside kick that gave Chicago the ball back. Had the Packers simply recovered that kick, they would have swept the season series against the Bears.

Heading into this week's game, there are a lot of questions surrounding Green Bay. LaFleur's future has been called into question.

All season long, fans have been frustrated with the Packers. Despite having the most talent the team has had in years, they didn't live up to the full hype. Injuries have hampered the team of late, but fans have grown impatient with LaFleur.

With that being said, notable NFL analyst Rich Eisen spoke out with his thoughts on the situation. He thinks Green Bay would be making a huge mistake if it decided to move on from the head coach.

"It would be NUTS for the Packers to let Matt LaFleur walk," Eisen said.

Since taking over as the Packers' head coach back in 2019, LaFleur has led the franchise to a 76-40-1 record. He has also made the playoffs in six of his seven seasons leading the charge.

Green Bay more than likely will not make a coaching change. It would be extremely shocking to see the Packers make a change this offseason.

However, heading into the 2026 season, Green Bay will need to see improvement. If the Packers get fully healthy, there will be no excuse for them to not be a top-tier Super Bowl contender.

LaFleur should be back in Green Bay next season. Should the Packers lose this week against Chicago, that conversation could get more interesting, but fans should not expect to see a change happen this offseason.
