NFL legend Tom Brady breaks down how Green Bay Packers' star quarterback Jordan Love has conquered offensive instability and injury woes to carry the Packers' postseason hopes solely on his shoulders.
Tom Brady knows a thing or two about playing the quarterback position at a high level.
He's a future Hall of Fame NFL quarterback and arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time. Certainly, he's in the conversation alongside Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and yes, Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers.
Will Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love ever be in that conversation? Frankly, probably not. The odds have always been against the Packers having a third straight Hall of Fame quarterback.
With that said, Love has been far better than his detractors ever could have imagined. He's absolutely Green Bay's third straight franchise quarterback and there's absolutely a world in which he can win an MVP award in the next few seasons.
Could he be Green Bay's third-straight MVP quarterback? Absolutely, that's possible.
He could actually be in that conversation right now, especially if he keeps playing at the high level that he is right now. Love leads the league in passing yards (2,246) and is fourth in passing touchdowns (16).
Recently speaking with Colin Cowherd, Brady, who has gone from player to television analyst, revealed the reason he believes Love is playing at such a high level.
He diagnosed a bit of inconsistency in Love's play over the quarterback's first few seasons as the starter in Green Bay, but he's been asked to step things up in 2026 due to all the issues around him.
There's the lack of run game, the porous offensive line, the drops and the injuries. All of those things are out of Love's control, but Brady sees a quarterback who has elevated his game because he knows he's carrying much of the load for the 5-3 Packers.
“It’s been like, ‘Okay, we’re going to put this on your shoulders, and you’re going to have to carry us,’” Brady said (h/t Athlon Sports). “And he goes into practice every day knowing it’s about his level of execution that’s going to make the offense go, and he’s just done a great job of that.”

Keep in mind, they've been playing without Micah Parsons, who is working his way back from a torn ACL he suffered almost a year ago. Parsons is a superstar and he's the type of player who can elevate Green Bay's defense from good to elite.
The Pack could definitely ride an elite defense to the playoffs, but Parsons isn't expected to be back until Thanksgiving.
What that means is that Love will have to continue playing like an MVP candidate in games against the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings over the next two weeks of action.
The good news for the Packers is he's proven more than capable, and people around the league have noticed.
"Jordan Love is just playing exceptional football; again, this is the best of his career," Brady said.
