The Carolina Panthers have added two key players to the injury report ahead of Thursday night's game against the Green Bay Packers.

The Carolina Panthers saw their two-game win streak snapped at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. It was an embarrassing performance for the Panthers at home, allowing Tampa Bay to do whatever they wanted in that game.

Carolina left the game 3-3 and having a lot of questions still to be answered. The good news? They have a quick turnaround as they will head to Green Bay to face off against the Packers. The bad news? Green Bay is a good team and the Panthers will enter this game banged up.

As the team returned to the practice field for a walk-through on Monday, there were some notable names on the injury report.

The most notable additions are on the offensive side of the football with guard Damien Lewis and Jalen Coker. Lewis was added to the injury report with a knee injury. He missed the Detroit game with an elbow injury but returned to play against both Philadelphia and Tampa Bay.

Now, a knee injury could limit his ability all week and his chances to play at Green Bay. If the Panthers are without Lewis, it would put a bit of a dent into the Panthers' offensive line, one that is already missing Taylor Moton, who went on injured reserve Monday. Losing another starter could be a disaster, especially with a good Packers' pass rush on tap.

For Coker, he's missed time this season already, including the Detroit game. But he did return after the bye week and gave Bryce Young one of his big targets back.

Coker has a shoulder injury which will limit him a bit this week. The Panthers are going to need to be healthy on offense so that Green Bay can't just key in on Tetairoa McMillan all game long.

In addition to those two, here is the full injury report which was an estimation based on the walk through:

  • OLB Jaelan Phillips (hamstring) | Monday: DNP
  • G Torricelli Simpkins III (ankle) | Monday: DNP
  • CB Akayleb Evans (triceps/knee) | Monday: DNP
  • G Damien Lewis (knee) | Monday: DNP
  • DT Bobby Brown III (hand) | Monday: DNP
  • WR Jalen Coker (shoulder) | Monday: Limited
  • QB Bryce Young (knee) | Monday: Full

The Panthers will practice on Tuesday before traveling to Green Bay Wednesday afternoon ahead of the game. There's some potential good news in terms of Jaelan Phillips' return as Dave Canales told reporters he will be a close call for Thursday.

Phillips missed Week 7 with a hamstring injury.

The Panthers and Packers are set to kickoff on Thursday night at 8:15 p.m. ET with the game broadcasted live on Amazon Prime.
