The Carolina Panthers continue to supply Bryce Young with enormous weapons.

Have you noticed anything unique about the Carolina Panthers' receiving corps? If you haven't, check the heights of their wide receivers.

Tetairoa McMillan stands 6-foot-5. Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette are both 6-foot-3.

Well, now you can add another towering weapon into the mix, as the Panthers selected 6-foot-4 Tennessee receiver Chris Brazzell with the 83rd overall pick of the NFL Draft on Friday night.

Brazzell was viewed as a second-round talent by some, so Carolina was able to get great value on him in the middle of Round 3.

Now, Bryce Young will have a plethora of huge options to throw to in the passing game, and that includes tight ends Ja'Tavion Sanders and Mitchell Evans (and the Panthers may add another piece there, as well).

Brazzell hauled in 62 receptions for 1,017 yards and nine touchdowns during his final collegiate campaign at Tennessee, averaging a robust 16.4 yards per catch.

The Midland, Tx. native began his collegiate career at Tulane in 2022 and spent two seasons with the Green Wave before transferring to Tennessee in 2024.

Brazzell had a rather quiet season during his debut campaign with the Volunteers, catching 29 passes for 333 yards and a couple of scores. But he certainly broke out in 2025.

Of course, there are some concerns with Brazzell.

The 22-year-old is certainly an imposing presence and has blazing speed, but he could stand to add some bulk, as he weighs just 198 pounds. Additionally, Brazzell isn't the most diverse route runner, and his hands are a bit questionable.

There is also the whole stigma surrounding Tennessee receivers, as they haven't exactly experienced much NFL success in recent years.

Jalin Hyatt was a bust for the New York Giants, Cedric Tillman has been a disappointment for the Cleveland Browns and Dont'e Thornton was largely a non-factor in Year 1 with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Volunteers wide outs don't exactly run the most complicated route trees in college, as they tend to be downfield burners who run go routes.

That could cause problems for Brazzell on the professional level, but perhaps he will be the Tennessee receiver who breaks the trend.

Regardless, this was a solid pick for a Carolina squad that definitely needed to add another wide receiver for Young, especially considering how much Legette has struggled over the course of his first two NFL campaigns.
