Carolina Panthers pass rusher Jaelan Phillips was ruled out for the Week 7 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Carolina Panthers are looking to make it three straight wins when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7 in Charlotte. After beating the Detroit Lions going into the bye week, the Panthers were able to get a good win in Philadelphia last week.

Sitting at 3-2 on the year, the opportunity to extend their lead in the division presents itself and so does the chance to bury the Buccaneers even more. But if Carolina wants to do that, they will have to without a star pass rusher.

Ahead of Sunday's kickoff, the Panthers officially announced their inactives for the game.

Leading the way is pass rusher Jaelan Phillips, who is dealing with a hamstring injury he reaggravated last week in Philadelphia. His status throughout the week was in doubt and with a questionable designation for his injury, the Panthers made the call to sit him this week.
