A Carolina Panthers' player has landed on the NFL's Top 100 list which is being revealed.
The countdown to the 2026 NFL season rolls on as we are just under a month away until the Carolina Panthers report for training camp. Carolina will report a little earlier this year due to the Hall of Fame game, giving them some time to prepare for that game.
For Dave Canales' team, there is a lot to prove this year.
The Panthers are fresh off a NFC South title for the first time in 10 years. They got into the playoffs due to a tiebreaker and an 8-9 record, so this season will be one where they need to prove the doubters wrong.
And that could start with the play of quarterback Bryce Young. The quarterback is arguably the biggest storyline for the Panthers this season as it's crucial he takes a step forward in his development.
With the Panthers picking up the fifth-year option, the quarterback needs to prove that he is the long-term solution at the position. But as we sit here in the offseason, Young recently made a list by the NFL that might be surprising to some.
Bryce Young named to NFL's Top 100 list
The NFL is releasing it's annual top 100 list, ranking the top players from the 2025 season. The list is voted on by players in the league and is put out on social media, counting down from 100 to 1.
The first Panthers' player on the list? Young who checked in at No. 98. He's the first Panthers player to make the list since the 2023 season.
After the ranking was revealed, Young was asked about making the list via Panthers.com:
"I mean, I'm grateful for it, but I can't let that be a motivating factor for me," Young said when asked about the realization that his game has improved. "I think in sports, just in life, there's going to be ups, there's going to be downs. I can't control stuff like that, so I think for me, even if it is positive at the time, I can't flip-flop. I just focus on the work here. You know, that's all that matters."
The Panthers are hoping that Young can improve this season and leave no doubt that he is the franchise guy at quarterback. If that happens, it should mean good things for the Panthers and Young who could see his ranking go even higher next year.
