Carolina Panthers Release Inactives For Week 8

The Carolina Panthers are looking to get back on track on Thursday, as they head to Green Bay to take on the Packers at Lambeau Field. After a loss to Tampa Bay, ending a two-game losing streak, they are still at 3-3 and hold the NFC South lead.

But that could change after this week depending on what happens Thursday and what the Atlanta Falcons do as well.

It won't be an easy task for the Panthers as playing at Green Bay is tough. However, they won there last year and even the Falcons went into Green Bay and beat the Packers on Thursday Night Football a few weeks back.

The bad news for Carolina is that they are hurting in terms of injuries. The secondary will have a few backups in it, which isn't great when going up a Packers offense that includes Jordan Love, Christian Watson, and Matthew Golden.

As we are under 90 minutes until kick off, both teams have released their inactives for the game with some key decisions made. Here are the full inactives for the Panthers:

Not only are the Panthers down a few defensive backs, but they will miss their top pass rusher in Jaelan Phillips and nose tackle Bobby Brown. Offensive guard Damien Lewis is also out.

Running back AJ Dillon won't play against his former team, either.

Here are the Packers inactives for the Week 8 game:

The Packers have injuries on the offensive line as well with Sean Rhyan, Travis Glover and Donovan Jennings out. Zaire Franklin suffered an injury last week in practice and will miss his second straight game.

The good news for Green Bay is that wide receiver Matthew Golden and defensive back Keisean Nixon are both set to play after being questionable.

Carolina is going to have to find a way to get to quarterback Jordan Love and disrupt that passing game. It certainly feels like a mismatch for the Panthers secondary going against Watson, Golden and tight end Tucker Kraft.

The two teams are set to kick off at 8:15 P.M. ET in Green Bay with the game being broadcast live on Amazon Prime.
