A new poll by ESPN ahead of the 2026 NFL season doesn't have Bryce Young near the top 10 at all.
As the countdown to the 2026 NFL season rolls on, training camp will be underway in just about a week. For the Carolina Panthers, they are set to begin camp early due to the extra preseason game with the Hall of Fame game.
For Carolina, they will hope to build on last season where they won the NFC South before losing to the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card round.
But this year, all eyes are on Bryce Young and his development.
Carolina picked up the fifth-year option on Young earlier in April but they have a decision to make in terms of the long-term contract. The hope is that the former No. 1 overall pick will be the franchise quarterback for the Panthers but so far, it's been a little up and down.
With camp looming, ESPN is rolling through its list of the top 10 players at each position. On Monday, they released the top 10 quarterbacks, headlined by Josh Allen taking the top spot.
Young wasn't close to the top 10 and it looks like he wasn't in the top 20, either. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler tweeted out players 11-20 in terms of voting and Young was not among that group:
It's not totally surprising to not see Young's name on the list. While the NFL's annual Top 100 list included Young at No. 90, the general consensus around the league is that he's not near the Top 10 and that there is a lot to prove.
Young does have a lot to prove this season as he's coming off a good 2025 campaign.
If the Panthers want to find success this season, a lot of that will be determined by how well Young plays. In the three years he's been in the league, Young has shown some flashes of what he can do. He finally had a good supporting cast around him in 2025, which helps. But now, the pressure feels on for the former Alabama standout.
