Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young didn't play well against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Carolina Panthers blew a golden opportunity on Sunday to clinch the NFC South by losing at home to the Seattle Seahawks, 27-10.

Not only did the Panthers get blown out, but QB Bryce Young also played terribly. The Alabama product went 14 of 24 for 54 yards and an interception. That's not a typo, folks. Young only had 54 passing yards.

NFL analyst Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report ripped Young for his outing against the Seahawks, giving the former No. 1 overall pick this grade: F.

"The Carolina Panthers had an opportunity to put away the NFC South and claim their first division title since the 2015 campaign, when the team went on to represent the conference in Super Bowl 50," Sobleski wrote. "But this version of the Panthers don't have an MVP candidate behind center. Instead, Bryce Young faltered when the Panthers could have taken care of business and sown up a division crown.

"According to Fantasy Life's Ian Hartitz, Young's 54 passing yards were the fewest by a quarterback with at least 24 attempts since 1980. To be fair, the Seahawks did a good job dictating where Young went with the ball thanks to Seattle's looks and pressure packages. Still, Carolina's passing game can't go M.I.A. when games matters this much."

The Panthers now have to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week to make the playoffs. Young, who has 2,745 passing yards and 21 passing touchdowns on the season, has to play one of the best games of his NFL career next week.

“Ton of credit to the (Panthers’) defense, they did a great job. Offensively, we let them down today. That sucks,” Young said. “Obviously it starts with me. We all take ownership. Had opportunities with the defense helping us out there. Didn’t take advantage of them.”

If Young plays poorly against the Bucs and the Panthers miss the playoffs, don't be surprised if Young is traded this offseason.

While he's shown flashes of greatness, Young has been too inconsistent for the Panthers to give him the keys to the franchise.
