Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young has been playing lights out all year

The Carolina Panthers were able to pick up a big win on Sunday, taking down the Philadelphia Eagles in the process.

Despite the Eagles being undermanned in the game, the Panthers were still able to come out with the win. The victory now moves the Panthers' record to 3-2 for the season, and the offense was electric once again.

Panthers quarterback Bryce Young continued his strong start to the season, throwing for 281 yards and two touchdowns in the game. Young has been playing lights out to start the season, and he has Carolina's passing game as one of the best in the NFL.

So far through the first five games of the year, Young has thrown for 1,549 yards with 11 touchdowns and two interceptions. The Panthers quarterback has completed 60.2 percent of his passes this year as well.

The play from Young has generated some MVP buzz around him, leading to narratives being changed. But in the latest MVP odds from FanDuel Sportsbook after Week 6, Young wasn't listed.

Young has done enough to at least be included on the list, making this a disrespectful odds list to the Panthers quarterback. But as long as Young keeps playing at a high level, he may end up on the list at some point.

Young is more focused on helping the Panthers win games, rather than his individual awards this season. The starter has seemed to turn a page in terms of his overall game, following all sorts of questions around him entering the season.

Some wondered if Young could become the franchise quarterback for the Panthers this year, and so far, he has answered the bell. While the Panthers are just 3-2, the entire offense has looked much better due to the improvement from Young.

This Panthers team was able to get some needed playoff experience a year ago, and it has seemed to make a big difference for the signal-caller. But Carolina and Young understand that there is still a long way to go this season, and he will have to stay consistent for the team to get back into the postseason.

Young has the Panthers rolling right now, with the offense feeling more and more confident as each week passes by. If he can keep up the play, the Panthers could easily get back to the playoffs and this time make some real noise.

Next up for Young and the Panthers is a matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home this week.
