The Carolina Panthers are in the NFL playoffs.

The Carolina Panthers have made the NFL playoffs for the first time since the 2017 season.

The Panthers clinched the NFC South on Sunday after the Atlanta Falcons beat the New Orleans Saints at home.

The Panthers will host a playoff game in the Wild Card round. They finish the regular season 8-9 in Year 2 of the Dave Canales era.

The Falcons, Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers all finished the regular season at 8-9. Carolina won the division because of head-to-head records.

So who will the Panthers face in the playoffs? If the Los Angeles Rams defeat the Arizona Cardinals, Carolina will face Los Angeles, led by QB Matthew Stafford.

If the Rams lose to the Cardinals, the Panthers will host the San Francisco 49ers, who have former Carolina star RB Christian McCaffrey.
