It looks like Carolina Panthers rookie WR Tetairoa McMillan will play this weekend against the Seattle Seahawks.
McMillan didn't practice on Wednesday due to a non-injury-related rest day, but he was a full-go on Friday, per Panthers head coach Dave Canales.
"TMac's good to go," Canales said on Friday. "He had a great practice today, as you can understand, this late in the season, things come up and we work through those things and he's been a real pro about it, getting his body ready and his mind right, being in tune when he's not out there full time. But today he had a great full practice, and he looked great."
The Panthers drafted McMillan with the eighth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft out of Arizona. The talented playmaker has 65 catches for 924 yards and seven touchdowns on the season.
McMillan appears to be a franchise WR for the Panthers. It's been a while since we've been able to say that.
Carolina is in first place in the NFC South with an 8-7 record. The franchise is looking to make the playoffs this season for the first time since 2017.
The Panthers have two games left in the regular season against the Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They have to win both games to make the playoffs.
With that said, let's see how McMillan and Co. finish the season with so much on the line.
"Just hopped right into our normal routine and just ask them to be in it," Canales said after the Panthers practiced following Christmas. "You know, we can't ease into this thing. Took advantage of a great opportunity around Christmas to spend time with family, that's wonderful.
"It's always good to just be able to reconnect with people and remember what we're playing for, and when we do that though, we have to go right back to work and so the guys were, were ready to go, captured them in the meetings, the coaches did an excellent job bringing the energy and led them to a really good practice."
