Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales likes how QB Bryce Young approaches the game.

Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young never gets too high or gets too low.

He's the same whether he has a good or bad game.

It's a characteristic Panthers head coach Dave Canales loves about his QB.

"It's something that gives Bryce the ability in the flow of the game, what I've noticed about Bryce is he doesn't get hung up on things that happen, he moves on, and that's a really special trait to have," Canales said. "It's really important for the big picture, especially when you're standing in front of the group, that this drive is going to be a touchdown drive, this next play is going to be a big one.

"To have that kind of salesmanship, it's really important for the quarterback to have that, and I see Bryce just step into the huddle with confidence every single play as if this is the best play that coach has ever called, you know, and, and it's great to have that support, but it does give the guys a lot of confidence going into it."

Young has 2,745 passing yards, 21 passing touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 217 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on the season. He's completing 63.2% of his passes.

For the Panthers to win this Saturday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and clinch the NFC South, Young needs to play much better than he did last week against the Seattle Seahawks. The Alabama product went 14 of 24 for 54 yards and an interception.

That's not a typo, folks. Young only had 54 passing yards.

Young's 54 passing yards were the fewest by a quarterback with at least 24 attempts since 1980.

"You're not going to like the answer, but it's really not any different," Young said. "Again, good and bad come with sports, and I think that's the maturity you have to have at this level. Coaches challenge us with it, and you really have to take it to heart, good or bad, you feel like things went well or didn't, you have to flush it the same way. You have to have the same approach. So, I've been trying to do that for a while now, so, at this point, it's the same."

Young has been up and down all season. Let's see which version of him we see in Week 18.
