Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker is active for Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns.
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker is active and will play in Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns. Coker has had a strong first two games of the season, catching 18 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns.
He is having a great season and has been one of the top weapons for Bryce Young and the Panthers' offense. Coker is poised to post career numbers, as he had 32 receptions for 478 yards and two touchdowns in 2024 and 33 receptions for 394 yards and three touchdowns in 2025.
The 24-year-old wideout is having a breakout year and is expected to make a major impact against the Browns.
Young is off to a hot start at quarterback, as he's completed 63 percent of his passes for 648 yards, six touchdowns, and an interception in two games. He also rushed for 16 yards and a touchdown on three attempts.
On the other side of Coker, reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Tetairoa McMillan is playing at a high level. McMillan has 10 receptions for 176 yards through two weeks and should be a pivotal weapon for the offense.
While Coker and McMillan are active, the Panthers will be without some key players, with wide receiver Xavier Legette, linebacker Devin Lloyd, and safety Nick Scott out.
IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters ConnectLegette was a solid weapon for Carolina in Week 2, as he had two catches for 64 yards. Without him, Young will need to target Coker, McMillan, and tight end Darren Waller more.
Lloyd will be a major loss for the Panthers' defense. He was a big addition in free agency this offseason, inking a three-year, $45 million deal.
Lloyd is already making an impact in his first two games in Carolina, as he's recorded 22 total tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack, three pass deflections, and two interceptions, including a pick-six. With Lloyd out, the Panthers will need Bobby Okereke to step up and play a bigger role.
Starting safety Scott is also out, after recording eight total tackles and a fumble recovery through the first two games.
The Panthers have a strong roster in place and a great chance of winning the NFC South for a second straight year and making it back to the postseason. However, with the Browns coming off a win and the injuries to key starters, Carolina has a tough game ahead as they look to improve to 2-1 on the season.
