The Carolina Panthers have been connected to a very intriguing offseason move.

The Carolina Panthers may have surprisingly won the NFC South division title this season, but they still have significant holes up and down the roster.

And while the Panthers' most prominent needs are on the defensive side of the ball, they could use some offensive assistance, as well.

Namely, Carolina needs to improve its offensive line, and it also may have to add another wide receiver with Xavier Legette trending toward bust territory.

Luckily, the Panthers will likely have a decent chunk of cap room heading into free agency and can open up some more money with roster cuts and contract restructures, so they should be able to acquire some pieces.

Joseph Person of The Athletic has zeroed in on one wide receiver in particular that could interest Carolina.

"Looking at the list of free-agent receivers, one name jumps off the board. Seattle Seahawks speedster Rashid Shaheed, whose touchdown on the opening kickoff set the tone for the Seahawks’ divisional-round win vs. San Francisco, would help the Panthers in a couple of areas but won’t come cheap," Person wrote.

Spotrac is projecting Shaheed to land a three-year, $42.4 million contract in free agency, and given his versatility, it might be worth it.

The 27-year-old notched a Pro Bowl selection this season after hauling in 59 receptions for 687 yards and a couple of touchdowns as well as punching in a pair of special teams scores in 18 games between the New Orleans Saints and the Seahawks.

Shaheed spent the first three-and-a-half years of his career in New Orleans before being dealt to Seattle midway through the 2025 campaign.

The former fifth-round pick now has a pair of Pro Bowls under his belt and also earned First-Team All-Pro honors back in 2023.

Shaheed is an explosive weapon who could potentially take Carolina's offense to another level, especially alongside of Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker.

The Weber State product also possesses the ability to line up in the slot and on the outside, so he and Coker — who is capable of doing the very same — could terrorize defenses together.

We'll see if the Panthers make a move for Shaheed in March.
