The Carolina Panthers have been linked to an intriguing trade for a Pro Bowl defender.
The Carolina Panthers' defense displayed significant improvement this past season, which wasn't too hard considering it was actually the worst statistical unit ever the year prior.
Regardless, it was great to see such notable progress from the Panthers' defense in 2025. That being said, Carolina still has some holes to fill.
While the Panthers' biggest area of trouble has been their pass rush, they also could stand to improve their secondary. More specifically, Carolina could use some help at safety and in the slot.
Well, a rather intriguing option has now become available for the Panthers in that category, as the Indianapolis Colts and nickelback Kenny Moore have mutually agreed to seek a trade.
It didn't take long for Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports to tab Carolina as one of the top potential destinations for the former Pro Bowler.

Here's another chance to improve by adding Moore in the slot to play over Chau Smith-Wade," Dajani wrote. "Remember, even though it was ugly, the Panthers won the NFC South last year. They gave the Los Angeles Rams quite a game in the wild-card round, too. This organization wants to continue to stack wins and improve."
Moore played in 14 games this past season, registering 55 tackles, 1.5 sacks, an interception and six passes defended while posting a 62.1 coverage grade at Pro Football Focus.
The 30-year-old has spent the first nine years of his career with the Colts, making the Pro Bowl back in 2021.
Moore may not be quite the same player he was a few years ago, but he remains a productive defensive back and would certainly represent an upgrade in Carolina's secondary.
The Valdosta State product is entering the final year of his contract and carries a $13.1 million cap hit for 2026, so his deal is manageable. The Panthers would also probably only have to surrender a Day 3 pick for Moore in a potential trade.
Carolina should definitely be on the phone with Indianapolis with the NFL Draft less than two weeks away.
