The Carolina Panthers will surely be seeking some defensive assistance this offseason, especially when it comes to their pass rush.
The Panthers finished with just 30 sacks in 2025, which ranked near the bottom of the NFL. That also followed a 2024 campaign in which Carolina managed only 32 sacks.
Fortunately, there will be plenty of options available for the Panthers this offseason, both via free agency and the NFL Draft.
Carolina does not have a ton of cap room right now, possessing about $12.6 million in available money, but it can open up some space with some roster cuts and contract restructures.
With the money that the Panthers will have available to spend, they absolutely should look to add an edge rusher, and Bleacher Report's Alex Ballentine feels that Bradley Chubb would be the perfect fit for them.
"Ideally, the Panthers will land a vet who can help Scourton and Princely Umanmielen grow into bigger roles," Ballentine wrote. "Bradley Chubb has shared history with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero from their time in Denver."

The 29-year-old was originally selected by the Broncos with the fifth overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft and racked up 60 tackles and 12 sacks as soon as his rookie campaign.
When healthy, Chubb has proven to be a terrific pass rusher, but injuries have certainly been an issue for the North Carolina State product throughout his career.
Case in point, he missed all of 2024 with a torn ACL, which came one year after Chubb rattled off 73 tackles, 11 sacks and six forced fumbles.
Chubb has only played two full seasons during his eight-year NFL tenure, so he would definitely be a risky addition. But the two-time Pro Bowler has proven to be a very valuable member of a defense when he is on the field.
Carolina could give Chubb an incentive-laden contract light on guarantees to minimize its risk.
The Panthers would definitely be a great fit for Chubb, but whether or not the veteran would actually want to play for Carolina remains to be seen.
