Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Brad Idzik is making a name for himself around the league.

Through the first four weeks of the NFL season, the Carolina Panthers have the top passing offense in a surprising situation.

Carolina sits at 2-2 on the season, but the team has been playing with all sorts of confidence on the offensive end. The Panthers have relied upon the play from quarterback Bryce Young to set the tone, giving them an explosive attack all around.

Entering the season, there were real questions around Young's game due to him having an inconsistent year in 2025. But the veteran quarterback has figured something out, helping the Panthers look a little dangerous.

One reason for the shift could be the work of offensive coordinator Brad Idzik, who has helped turn this offense around. Carolina has gone from being the 26th-ranked passing attack to first in short order, and Idzik has started to make a name for himself.

In fact, the work from Idzik with Young has generated a lot of buzz around the league, with the veteran coordinator getting some interest as a head coach going forward. ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler has said that Idzik has been getting noticed by front offices and owners around the league due to his success.

While there is no guarantee that Idzik will be hired in the next cycle, the hot start from the Panthers offense certainly adds some intrigue. NFL teams are always looking for the next big thing when it comes to coaching, and offensive coaches tend to be more exciting for interested organizations.

It has only been four weeks into the season, but the success from the Panthers can't be overlooked. Young now looks like one of the better signal-callers in the game, which is a far cry from where he was a year ago.

Idzik has worked hard to make Young feel more comfortable in the offensive system, and it's been paying off well. If the Panthers were to keep this type of production up, Idzik could easily find his name being in the coaching rumors at the end of the year and into the offseason.

Carolina wants to make another run at the playoffs, and this could only help Idzik's chance to be given some interviews going forward. But for now, the offensive coordinator will focus on helping the Panthers win each week, looking for ways to get better each time out on the field.

Next up for the Panthers is a matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles following their upcoming bye week.
