The Carolina Panthers may try to move this player following the NFL Draft.
Heading into the NFL Draft, most accepted that the Carolina Panthers would probably be taking a wide receiver at some point. Some felt they would even nab one in the first round.
Ultimately, the Panthers waited until the latter stages of Day 2 to select a receiver, snatching Tennessee's Chris Brazzell with the 83rd overall pick.
Brazzell will join a Carolina receiving corps that already includes Tetairoa McMillan, Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette, giving the Panthers an absolutely towering group of wide outs.
But there is a chance not all of those players will be in Carolina's wide receiver room once the 2026 campaign begins.
Legette seems like an obvious trade candidate at this point, as he is the reason the Panthers took another wide receiver to begin with.
Carolina selected Legette in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but things have not exactly worked out for the 25-year-old over his first couple of seasons.

The University of South Carolina product has had a major problem with drops, and his inconsistency has been very frustrating.
Of course, the problem is that Legette's trade value is incredibly low at the moment. It's hard to imagine the Panthers getting anything more than a Day 3 pick in exchange for him, but at this point, Carolina might be alright with that.
The hope is that Brazzell comes in and establishes himself as a dependable outside receiver for Bryce Young, which would allow the Panthers to keep Jalen Coker in the slot. McMillan would obviously occupy the other outside position.
That would mean Legette would be relegated to a No. 4 receiver role, and he wouldn't see the field all that much.
Carolina has tried to play it coy with Legette's future, but its selection of Brazzell made it pretty clear that the team has lost faith in Legette's ability to develop into a consistent contributor in the aerial attack.
Look for the Panthers to field trade offers for Legette between now and September, and it wouldn't be the least bit surprising if he ends up in a different uniform before Week 1.
