Tom Brady is the best Super Bowl quarterback, but two more Patriots are deserving to be ranked.
The argument of "greatest of all time" NFL quarterbacks begins and ends with Tom Brady's supreme reign. However, the league boasts many other crazy talented quarterbacks that have shined on the biggest football stage: the Super Bowl.
NFL.com ranked the best 66 quarterbacks to ever start a Super Bowl and three New England Patriots landed on the list. After an unprecedented career, the recently-retired Brady obviously takes the top spot on the list with a Super Bowl record of 6-3 (Patriots); 1-0 (Buccaneers). Brady has more Super Bowl titles than any single NFL franchise, making him a no-brainer No. 1.

Brady's retirement
follows his worst campaign since his first season as a starter, although he set the NFL single-season record for completions and posted four fourth-quarter comebacks, tied for the second-most in his career. Even Brady's down year, at 45 years old, was better than what half the league could do, and it was unprecedented for someone of his age.
As the Patriot's starting quarterback for 18 seasons, Brady led New England to nine Super Bowl appearances, and six Super Bowl titles, all NFL records for a player and franchise. Among his long list of accolades, he is the only player to earn Super Bowl MVP for two different franchises.
Behind Brady is No. 2 Johnny Unitas, No. 3 Joe Montana, No. 4 Peyton Manning and No. 5 Dan Marino. The ranking is based on accomplishment as it stands today.
Who are the other two Patriots on the list? No. 40 Drew Bledsoe lands in the "Crazy talent for a tier this low" category and No. 64. Tony Eason makes the list as well. Bledsoe led the Patriots to an appearance in Super Bowl XXXI and Eason helped New England make its Super Bowl debut in Super Bowl XX.
Are the young quarterback stars in the NFL on Brady's tail? Patrick Mahomes is going to need a lot more seasons before his career can be compared to Brady's career.
However, Mahomes and Jalen Hurts, the two quarterbacks in starting Super Bowl LVII, also make the list. Mahomes is at No. 10 and climbing while Hurts, who has only 34 career regular-season starts, lands at No. 57. It's not often Mahomes is an underdog ... He and the Kansas City Chiefs will try to pull the upset over the Philadelphia Eagles (1.5-point favorites) in Glendale, Ariz. on Feb. 12 to become Super Bowl LVII Champions.
