A three-team NFL trade idea that would send Michael Wilson from the Arizona Cardinals to the New England Patriots was proposed by Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report.

Patriots Get: WR Michael Wilson
Cardinals Get: QB Shedeur Sanders, WR Kayshon Boutte, Browns' 2027 4th-round pick
Cleveland Browns Get: QB Jacoby Brissett, Patriots' 2027 3rd-round pick
Boutte has been the subject of trade rumors this offseason. He has one year left on his contract and didn't attend voluntary workouts.
Meanwhile, Wilson is entering the final year of his rookie deal and may not be getting an extension this offseason.
"The Cardinals could avoid any potential contract drama by simply moving Wilson while his stock is high," Knox wrote. "In this hypothetical trade, they give the Patriots yet another big receiver addition while taking care of another contract situation and making their QB competition a bit more interesting."
According to Dan Graziano of ESPN, the Patriots continue to receive trade calls on Boutte. This trade idea from Knox makes a lot of sense for Arizona and New England.
For the Cardinals last season, Wilson had 78 catches for 1,006 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns. He would be a great fit in Josh McDaniels' offense, catching passes from star QB Drake Maye.
Boutte appeared in 14 games for the Patriots last season. He had 33 receptions for 551 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns.
According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, New England is hoping to get a third-round pick in exchange for Boutte. At that price, Boutte would be a tremendous value for a receiver-needy team.
The Patriots already made one blockbuster trade this offseason, acquiring A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles. As of this writing, New England hasn't been linked to trading Boutte to the Cardinals for Wilson, but that could change moving forward in today's ever-evolving world of NFL rumors.
In Year 2 of the Mike Vrabel era, the Patriots open the season with a Super Bowl rematch against the Seahawks in Seattle. Wilson enters the 2026 campaign with 2,119 receiving yards and 14 receiving touchdowns, while Boutte has 78 career receptions for 1,159 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns.
It will be fascinating to see where Wilson and Boutte are playing on opening night.
