The Patriots have needs that must be met on the offensive line this season.

David Andrews called it quits after a 10-year career in the NFL, all of which were played as a New England Patriot. Still, he remains in the team's orbit as on-camera talent at NBC Boston.

On that platform, Andrews talks about all things Patriots over on shows like Phil Perry's The Next Pats Podcast, and this week, he commented on the Patriots' offensive line needs, Will Campbell, and who the No. 31 overall pick will be next week.

Andrews first brought up the Will Campbell situation, asking whether the team plans to move Campbell around the offensive line from his current spot at left tackle. He also believes that the Patriots' first-round pick in 2026 will be an offensive tackle, and the player will be none other than Clemson's Blake Miller.

"I've been not in a big camp of moving Will Campbell. That, to me, is a discussion in maybe another year or two," Andrews said on NBC Sports' The Next Pats Podcast. "I don't believe in it. I think people think, 'Oh, it's easy to do.' It's not that easy to do, personally, I don't think. [Miller] played a lot of right tackle." From everything I've heard, from missing one practice from the wrist and all these—that's the kind of guy; I think you would say, 'Alright, these are our two bookends. ' These are our two guys. They're going to help build this culture. We can rely on these guys to be culture builders for this room.'"

Indeed, the Patriots need to jump on an offensive lineman early. Some of these names may not be around in the second or even third round.

The Patriots' current right-side offensive tackle, Morgan Moses, will be thirty-five by the time the season starts later this year. Developing a young player is a must in the event of an injury, or even if Moses and the team part ways after this year, with one year remaining on his current contract.

Andrew's comments hold a lot of merit. If there is anyone who knows the ins and outs of how a functioning offensive line works in New England, it's him.
